Algo sobre mí

Soy Valeria Seoane, Diseñadora y Artista Visual. Nací en 1980 en Buenos Aires CABA donde vivo y trabajo. Mientras cursaba la carrera de Diseño Gráfico comenzó mi interés por el mundo artístico. Desde ese primer contacto con la materialidad, he pasado por varios talleres hasta que finalmente me formé en la escuela de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano.

Mi alma inquieta por expresarse y crear continuamente, y mi gran curiosidad ha hecho que experimente con diferentes técnicas. Sin embargo, desde hace algunos años el papel es mi gran aliado. Cada una de las piezas que conforman mis obras están hechas en papel, a mano, logrando diferentes universos en cada composición.

Mi pasión es la búsqueda de un lenguaje que salga del plano (como algo que nace y emerge hacia lo nuevo y desconocido), que dialogue de forma lúdica a través de la exploración de la geometría, el volumen y el color, dando lugar a la construcción de conceptos donde conviven el caos como el principio y el orden como el fin, logrando una experiencia visual que represente diferentes emociones en cada una de mis obras.

About me

I'm Valeria Seoane, designer and visual artist. I was born in 1980 in Buenos Aires where I currently live and work. While studying Graphic Design the art world has come to my attention. From the very moment I got in touch with the materials, I've been part of various artists' studios, untill I've finally gotten a degree in the Fine Arts College Manuel Belgrano.

My bustling soul always tries to express itself and create continuously, that's the reason why I'm very curious and experiment all kind of technics. However, for the last few years paper has become my biggest partner. Each of the pieces that are part of my works are handmade, crafted in paper, composing undiscovered universes with each new layout.

My passion is the research of a language that disrupts the surface (as something that rises and pops up to a new unknown), that playfully chats through prospecting for geometry, volume and color, triggering a conceptual construction where chaos is the beginning and order is the end, achieving a visual experience that reflects different emotions in each of my works.
